Reith-Snare and the Blues – NSW’s predominantly bottom-aged, development side – finished third in pool B, just missing out on the tournament’s top four.
They have plenty of momentum though after scoring their first win on Sunday, over the Northern Territory, and a confidence-boosting draw on Monday too.
Reith-Snare’s side thumped the Northern Territory 4-1 before sharing points with Western Australia, a side which did qualify for the final four.
Although Reith-Snare was handed a green card in the 43rd minute, NSW was well in control against the northerners by then. They won 4-1 thanks to doubles from Hannah Kable and Kaitlyn Lee.
NSW continues its campaign against Queensland 2 on Wednesday, at 1pm.
