A man has died in hospital after a truck and car collided near Orange last week.

Just before noon on Thursday, March 23, emergency services were called to The Escort Way, about 10 kilometres from Orange following reports a prime mover and Toyota had collided.
A 72-year-old man, who was a passenger in the Toyota, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.
The driver of the Toyota, a 41-year-old man, was also treated at the scene for minor injuries and shock before being taken to Orange Health Service where he was later released.
A 24-year-old man, the driver of the prime mover, was not injured. He was taken to Orange Health Service to undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.
Officers attached to Canobolas Local Area Command with assistance from Crash Investigation Unit established a crime scene and investigations are continuing.
