Police are investigating a crash which claimed the life of an Orange man on Wednesday night.
Emergency services were called to Lachlan Valley Way 27 kilometres north of Yass just after 8pm and found a sedan and truck had collided.
The driver of the sedan, a 46-year-old man from Orange, died at the scene.
The driver of the truck, a 68-year-old man from Victoria, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Canberra Hospital, where he is reported to be in a stable condition.
Officers from The Hume Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
