That’s the way the children of Courallie Park Child Development Centre will have their picnic.
The event will raise funds for resources and material for the centre.
Centre director Karen McMullen said the fete had been running for about 11 years and was one of only a handful of events in Orange aimed at very young children.
“It’s getting bigger every year and this year is no exception,” Mrs McMullen said.
“We’ve organised a large range of stall holders and activities so we’re sure every little person will find something they’re interested in, and there’s plenty for parents and carers too.”
Early childhood teacher Louise Delarue said the event was an ideal way for pre-school children to socialise with each other.
“It’s such a special event because it’s for little kids, not just the big kids,” Ms Delarue said.
“It’s a social event for them and it’s good for little kids and big kids alike.”
Ms Delarue said the event was a good way to enjoy the sights of Cook Park.
“We have our fingers crossed for beautiful weather,” she said.
“Cook Park is a magical sight with the morning light coming through the trees.”
Mrs McMullen invited the wider community to take part in the event.
“We’d love every Orange family and their teddies to come along to the park and have a great family day out together,” she said.
There will be dozens of market stalls and information stands as well as dance performances, face painting, jumping castles, a barbecue, cupcake decorating and craft stalls.
The Teddy Bear’s Picnic will be held at Cook Park from 10am to 12pm on Saturday.
Attendees are asked to bring gold coins as most activities and attractions are a gold coin donation.
Bring a picnic blanket or chair.
The event is weather dependent and will be called off if there is rain.
