Tadd Terpilowski spent years making people comfortable in restaurants and hotels, and is now turning his attention to living rooms. Mr Terpilowski has opened Revive on Peisley with a mix of antique and contemporary furniture. “The motto is, if I wouldn’t put it in my house, I wouldn’t sell it,” he said. Mr Terpilowski said the shop was a chance to fuse his love for furniture and antiques. Mr Terpilowski said he wanted to show people that you “don’t have to spend thousands for a piece of furniture with a soul.”

De Russie the best
According to travel website Trivago, De Russie Boutique Hotel is the best. Trivago has released its annual customer rankings of accommodation and ranked the top five in the city. Travelers rated De Russie the highest with 91.48. Manager Steve Sharp said it was the travelers’ personal experience which was the focus, whether it was getting soy milk or helping to avoid allergies. Mr Sharp said the rating showed the hotel was on the right track. Meanwhile, Quality Inn Ambassador came second with 85.33, followed by Templers Mill Motel with 85.05, Central Caleula Motorlodge scored 83.68 and West End Motor Lodge with 83.36.
Sparkling shiraz
Montoro Wines launched their newest wine, the Opal Eyes Sparkling Shiraz 2013, at a gala event at Factory Espresso last week. The wine, in the making for three and a half years, was the first made by the winery from grapes grown 900 metres above sea level. “At this elevation the grapes develop a beautiful savoury, spicy character that is perfect for this luscious style,” owner Bob Derrick said.
