Bowling by Jason Belmonte has just been released as a free download game in Australia – ahead of a worldwide launch late next month.
Belmonte said he had been involved in the game development for nearly three years. He said they had tried to achieve the most realistic play even down to the pins reacting differently according to where and how hard they were struck.
“Once you let go of the ball in the game the physics of the real world take effect,” Mr Belmonte said.
“If you hit the pins at the right angle the pins will fall over just as in the real world.
“The game is literally as close as I’ve ever seen to the real thing.”
He said they were hoping for one million downloads.
In the real world Belmonte has a busy schedule. He is in Japan for a promotional tour before heading to the US for three tournaments, including the US Open.
