Matthews Avenue resident Terry Van Gulik represented himself in court where he pleaded guilty to driving while suspended and driving a vehicle without the consent of the owner.
The 40-year-old was fined $500 and disqualified from driving for 12 months after policed pulled him over in Bathurst for driving a car with two different number plates on July 9 at 10.20am and discovered his licence had been suspended due to demerit points.
He told police the rear number plate was already on the car but he put his own number plate on the front or the car.
He was also fined $500 after the car was shown to have been stolen in Orange on December 1, 2015 but Van Gulik said he bought the car from a friend in November.
