Council: please consider a plaque for whatever takes the hospital's place on the site, detailing what used to be there. There will be many Orange residents who were born in the hospital or have other connections that should be commemorated. I'm not fond of the run-down derelict old building it has become, but I am still fond of the site and the former hospital, seeing as it's the first 'home' I ever knew in terms of a building (even for a few days).

ON THE LINE WITH TELSTRA
I waited three months for my phone connection only to be told I couldn't get internet until the NBN came. That was September last year and NBN won't be in my area until September this year. Not good enough Telstra. And all because Telstra didn't want to invest in the right infrastructure eight years ago when Paterson Gardens Estate was first developed.

MARKET REJECTS BAKERY
But rise make the best bread by far. Tried all the breads at the markets and they are not as good as rise. It was fantastic to see this bread maker finally put the meaning of food into the Cabonne food basket. If the farmers markets committee are concerned about over exposure of a commodity then they really need to do something about the amount of jams there are at the farmers markets. Talk about repeat ad nausem.

OLD DRINKING TRENDS
I would agree with that article. My parents are over age 65 and drink every day, however I only have one drink when I go out. My parents can out do Gen Y's binge drinking easily. It is frowned upon for young people to be drunk, but it is the "entitlement" attitude of the adults to drink without being questioned.
