In wet conditions in the KA4 junior class, Burcher battled 32 competitors to qualify 10th and enjoyed a great race start to move up to seventh but on lap three was pushed off the track backwards into a wall, resulting in a DNF.
In Burcher’s first crack at the premier junior class, the KA3 junior, with 22 entrants, the gun qualified on P2 after heat finishes of fourth, eighth and 17th.
Burcher hit a DNF in the final but the Orange kart club’s team wasn’t expecting such a strong showing in the premier junior class, particularly in such tricky driving conditions.
While Brett Robinson scored a six-second win in his class after a tough drive against Ben Ritchie.
Pierce Lehane made it a double victory for CRG in both TAG Light and TAG Heavy proving a winning combination in TAG classes.
