The first driver aged 18 was stopped by police in McLachlan Street on Saturday and was also found to be drink driving (special range PCA), being an unlicensed driver, and stealing a vehicle.
The second high speed driver was detected on Lords Place on Sunday travelling 45 km/h over the speed limit.
Acting Sergeant Adam Cornish of Orange Highway Patrol said both offences were significant in a weekend where drink driving offences were minimal, with only two offences detected.
He said police conducted just over 1000 RBT tests between Friday morning and 3pm yesterday.
Acting Sergeant Cornish said 46 drivers were detected speeding in and around Orange since Friday, with 36 others detected for seat belt, mobile phone and other offences.
Police were out early on Monday conducting roadside alcohol and drug tests on the Mitchell Highway outside Memory Park.
On Monday afternoon vehicles heading west on the Escort Way were stopped by highway patrol officers and tested for alcohol and drugs.
“Obviously we were only able to carry out 275 RBT’s due to the police commitment to the Anzac Day Services,” Acting Sergeant Cornish said.
“We detected two males driving without licences over the weekend, and two drink driving offences.”
Police have released no further details as the possible cause of the crash which killed Todd Sligar, Mitchell Holloway and Ethan Hertslet on the Mitchell Highway near Trangie north-west of Dubbo early on Saturday morning .
