The duo has exhibited at galleries across Australia and recently had an exhibition in Sydney where they sold most of their works.
As a result some of the paintings display this weekend were created specifically for the open garden.
“There are florals and contemporary landscapes, they are bright colours and it does complement the garden.”
Garden owner Dee Napier is a friend of the artists and asked them to take part.
“The garden is her love and it is extraordinary, it’s a very established garden with an old homestead,” Mrs Blake said.
Along with having an opportunity to show their artworks, Mrs Blake said they also wanted to be involved because money raised from the three day event will go to the Garvan Institute for cancer research.
“We have had cancer in our families like many other families in town, cancer is something that affects most families,” she said.
As well as admiring the paintings on the verandah visitors to the open garden will be able to explore the country garden, stroll around the lakes and sweeping lawns, admire mature trees, rare shrubs and perennials along with the dry stone walls and hidden gardens.
Morning and afternoon teas will be served on the lawn and plants will be for sale. The garden was open yesterday and will also be open between 10am and 4pm today and tomorrow at 39 Heifer Station Lane, Borenore.
