The Sydney couple bought the cafe and took ownership of it at the beginning of March.
Mr Gleeson said it had been a “baptism of fire” but the team knew they made the right decision.
Following on from the success of previous owners Bill and Lisa Parianos, Mr and Mrs Gleeson do not plan to make any drastic changes any time soon while they find their feet.
“It’s a good little business model and Bill and Lisa have just been great,” Mr Gleeson said.
“We’re looking at a new menu coming into winter... and probably starting up the Tex Mex nights again.
“We’ve been told they were really popular.”
Mr Gleeson said the cafe would extend its opening hours during FOOD Week until 4pm as well as using the crowds as a litmus test for meal specials.
The former Sydneysiders have brought a love of technology with them and implemented an app ordering system and have been marketing their business on Instagram and Facebook.

Relics on any given Sunday
CLAIRE Lutkie, the owner of Relic Sunday Second Hand Trader located in Glenroi Avenue, has put in a huge effort renovating the premises and restoring the floorboards that match in beautifully with the name Relic.
“I chose that name because it can mean anything of value from the past,” she said.
The store features a fascinating array of items from shelves to all styles of chairs, tables and homewares of all descriptions.
Ms Lutkie is a busy woman. She runs her own online business selling children’s clothing and also owns and operates a short-stay cottage in Orange.
“I was just fortunate the Relic premises came up after the former owner who was there for more than 20 years retired,” she said.
She advertises as being open only on a Sunday but likes to pop in to the shop sometimes through the week if she has any spare time.
“We lay-by, we might take your trade-ins, we buy outright and we sometimes consign,” she said.
