Wine, Women and Song will be officiallyopened at 2pm and include a talk by Mrs Rosso about the topic and the processes involved in making collagraph prints.
“It’s a form of printmaking that you form a collage on a plate and it’s printed,” Mrs Rosso said.
“All the plates have to be made and then it’s put through the press.”
Mrs Rosso said she got into making art as a mature-age student at TAFE Western after moving to Orange.
“I was introduced to print making by Tim Winters. I decided to buy a printing press and pursue it further. I bought that in 2014 and I started experimenting in getting different effects and this led me to doing Wine, Women and Song.”
She said she chose the theme because they were three of her loves and her works included women from Chinese empresses to Egyptian queens, while others featured song and wine.
This will be her fourth exhibition and second independent exhibition.
Wine, Women and Song will run from March 19 to 24.
