IT'S a relay game that requires a lot of attention, and it’s one of the most popular activities at the Easter Family Festival run by Fusion Central West.

Organiser Bev Rankin said that the Granny Smith Apple Relay was an adaptation of the rock, tree, bridge relay race.
“There are time trials that involve teams of four people. Those teams have to have one person under 10, one over40 and at least one member of the opposite sex,” she said.
Coined as a community race the winners will receive a family sized apple pie, the runners up, toffee apples.
Other energetic activities include water bomb volley ball and parachute games, while for those seeking more chilled activities there will be face painting, bubble blowing, mural painting, a wind tunnel, sock wrestling, giant jigsaws, jumping castle, giant slide, an aeroplane merry-go-round and a Jaffa smasher.
For those who’d rather to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere there is a tea and coffee tent serving delicious home-baked biscuits and cool drinks and mocktails available at the Exodus Bar.
It’s Fusion’s 27th annual Easter Family Festival and as organiser Mal Rankin said, the theme this year is “outrageous love”.
“Love begins life in any relationship. God’s love is life giving and expressed outrageously in history in the event we know as Easter. It was at Easter that Jesus died and rose again.”
All activities are free thanks to the support and generosity of churches and business owners in Orange.
Easter Family Festival is at Robertson Park, Sunday, March 20 from noon to 4pm.
