One of the Rotary Club of Orange Daybreak Club organisers, chiropractor Alison Bennett hopes the event will help participants to achieve an improvement in health and happiness through education and inspiration during various sessions.
“There are so many events, and important events, which focus on sickness. We want to promote the benefit of wellness also,” Ms Bennett said.
“As a health professional I can see the benefits of wellness and want to spread the word.”
The summit will involve motivational talks by business coach Rhiannon Rees, organic wellness ambassador Therese Kerr, who was voted one of Ernst & Young’s Inspiring Rare Birds Top 50 Most Influential Women in Australia 2015, and 2002 Bali bombing survivor Carren Smith.
Ms Bennett said the focus is for people to take away a unique, personal benefit from the varying events and talks on the day.
Ms Rees will talk about goal setting and the mindset needed to achieve them, Ms Smith will talk about how to overcome business and personal challenges and Ms Kerr will talk about organic eating and its lifestyle benefits.
“If you’re mentally sound and enjoying life then you’re out and about and achieving things,” she said.
Proceeds will go to youth suicide prevention and youth enrichment programs.
“Youth in need can benefit from help and mentoring and this can lead to the prevention of any sickness,” she said.
The summit will be held at Orange Function Centre from 8am to 6pm on Saturday.
