Emily Fenton came up with the idea a couple months ago, thinking it would be a nice way to boost the community’s social cohesion.
“Hopefully it will boost community morale,” Miss Fenton said.
“Some stick to themselves, so it should be a nice chance to get together.
She said there will be about 15 stallholders offering everything from craft, to face painting and bric-a-brac.
“It’s a way to give back to the community,” she said.
The event will be held at the store, at 23 Copeland street, behind the bowsers from 9am to 2pm.
Miss Fenton said she hopes this will be the first of many successful social events that bring the community together.
Future planned boot sales are January 3, April 3, July 3 and October 2, 2016.
To book a stall site contact Emily on 0427 432 445.
Sites cost $10 to rent, which is totally donated to the Leukaemia Foundation charity.
