Held at the Orange Showground on Thursday and Friday, the event attracted around 1500 people from hobbyists to those working in the industry.
“I really didn’t know what to expect, I would have been happy if 1000 people had come,” she said.
“Bees seem to have created an awful lot of interest which is great.
“We had a good mix of people including hobbyists and families keen to leant more about bees which is fantastic.”
This year’s event included live bee shows, and bee related retail products as well as products and equipment for beekeepers.
Mrs Hudson said her father was an amateur beekeeper and she’d grown to love bees as a child.
She now works in the honey packing industry.
Mrs Hudson said she plans to stage the event again next year.
