In first grade, Cavaliers won the toss in their Wade Park clash with minor premiers CYMS and elected to bat.
The defending premiers scored 130, with CYMS 3-60 in reply at the close of play.
The match will resume at 11am on Sunday.
At Riawena Oval CYMS recovered from 4-12 to post 159 in their second grade decider against Orange City.
The Warriors - minor premiers by a massive 20 points - are 0-49 in their first innings.
In third grade Gladstone have claimed the silverware after defeating CYMS at Sir Jack Brabham Park.
The green and golds posted 9-131 from their 40 overs, but it was not enough to stop the minor premiers Gladstone adding to their trophy cabinet.
Meanwhile, the all-CYMS Centenary Cup decider was taken out by CYMS Kelly's, who defeated club-mates Fahys at Sir Jack Brabham Park.
