The company is a gold sponsors of the Cancer Council’s annual fundraising event, and Everly Jewellers, owned by the Regency Group, has donated a pearl necklace worth $995 for one of the major prizes for the Relay for Life committee’s raffle.
“Because of the owner’s generosity, we’re able to support this great cause. Kerry Rawson [owner]has been in business for 50 years and he has always been very supportive of things like this,” Regency Jewellers manager Jo Clark said.
“We’re more than happy to be included in events like this, it gives us a chance to give back to our customers.”
Around 20 staff members from the head office, Regency Jewellers and Everly Jewellers stores and their family and friends will participate in the relay at Waratahs Sports ground this weekend.
The event begins at 1.45pm on Saturday with the opening lap walked by cancer survivors and carers. It will continue until the closing ceremony on Sunday at 9.30am.
