Brad Fittler, Matt Cooper, Nathan Hindmarsh and Ian Schubert will bring the tour back to Orange on March 4.
Just like last year, they’ll run a junior coaching clinic and then hold a fundraising dinner.
“Why ruin something that works?” Fittler said of the plans.
However, the former Sydney Rooster legend said there would be one thing that was certain to change.
The 43-year-old said, unlike last year, he would not be taking his shirt off at the dinner, regardless of how much money was raised.
“That won’t be happening this year because I haven’t been training,” Fittler laughed.
The Hogs For Homeless Tour raises money for Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets program.
This is the third year the tour has been held with the 2015 event taking in 3200km over two weeks.
They started on Saturday at Cessnock and will finish on March 6 at Parramatta Stadium.
Fittler said their level of accommodation has changed since the first tour in 2013.
“The good thing is, the first year we took swags and slept everywhere,” he said.
“Football clubs would give us the luxury of their grounds and dressing sheds. Now we’re up to hotel rooms.”
The men also know each other quite well after two tours together.
“There are some really bad snorers,” Fittler laughed.
“Now we have accommodation, I pick my roommate very carefully.”
“Badger” Babbage is the main organiser behind the Orange leg of the tour and is excited to have the boys return.
This year Fittler, Cooper, Hindmarsh and Schubert will be joined by former Australian prop Josh Perry and league player turned race car driver Jack Elsegood.
Before arriving in Orange next Wednesday, the tour will stop at the Carcoar sales where a lamb will be auctioned off with the proceeds to go to the fundraiser.
They will then head to Orange’s Wade Park for a free junior coaching clinic at 4pm before going to Duntryleague for a fundraising dinner at 6.30pm.
Tickets to the dinner are $35, include a three-course meal and can be booked by calling Duntryleague on 6362 3466.
During the dinner there will be one auction - a 2014 NSW State of Origin jersey.
On Thursday morning the boys will be at Capital Harley Davidson on Peisley Street before heading off to Oberon.
