Weatherzone is predicting rainfall of up to 10mm on Wednesday and between 1mm and 5mm everyday for the rest of the week.
State Emergency Service central west region controller Craig Ronan said while rainfall was predicted, no storm activity was expected.
“We’re ready for it if something does happen,” Mr Ronan said.
“Saturday’s storm came out of nowhere, but we’re not expecting anything else.”
Mr Ronan said the SES had finished their clean-up activity on the weekend, and damage to residential properties was minimal.
“It did threaten some houses, but I don’t think there was any major damage,” he said.
“I’d be surprised if there were any big [insurance] claims made as a result of the storms.”
Temperatures are expected to peak at 20 degrees today with possible thunderstorms in the afternoon.
On Thursday the mercury will drop to a low of 6 degrees before climbing to an expected top of 23 degrees.
On Sunday temperatures are expected to reach the week’s high of 25 degrees.
According to Weatherzone rainfall for January has reached 78.4mm, almost half of the January rainfall record of 133.8mm recorded in 2006.
However, rainfall records in the area varied on Saturday.
Hillview (near Mount Canobolas) recorded 110mm, Kite Street recorded 88mm while the Orange Agricultural Institute recorded 50mm.
