Bulldogs enjoyed a 16-14 win the last time the two sides met, in round 17, and scored a thumping win over Dubbo in the qualifying final last weekend.
In contrast, Orange City had a week off after earning the minor premiership - often the downfall of young sides.
“Bulldogs deserved that win last time, even though we missed opportunities,” Taberner said.
“We’re confident, the last two weeks have been intense.
“We’re expected to train harder at finals time, and that’s what we’ve done.
“We know what we have to do to win. Our forwards need to muscle up and put it over Bathurst and we need to work hard off our set pieces, they will be crucial.”
The under 20s fixture kicks off at 10.50am, at Dubbo’s No.1 Oval.
