After being handed in to the Nowra RSPCA when she got lost and then transferred to the Blue Mountains shelter, she has arrived at Orange and staff are hopeful she will be adopted out to a central west family.
The young dog has been described as the life of the party, and loves to play, is very curious about her surroundings and would make the perfect addition to a young couple or family with teenage children.
Zelda will want a lot of attention , and staff recommend she be included in family outings as much as possible. She will also need some basic obedience training and will need a secure yard and a fence without mastiff-sized gaps.
She is very social and playful with other dogs, but anyone wishing to adopt the Mastiff cross will need to bring any existing dogs in the home down to the William Street shelter to make sure there are no personality clashes.
Cost of adopting is $310, which includes a vet check, de-sexing, microchipping, vaccinations, de-worming and flea and heartworm treatment.
An additional council lifetime registration fee of $51 or $20 for pensioners applies at point of adoption.
