Wednesday and Thursday we can expect mid teens, but don’t get used to it - Weatherzone meteorologist Brett Dutschke is predicting cold weather and possibly snow on Friday.
“The sky’s been very clear for a week or so with the odd passing, brief shower and with warm air the temperature in Orange has been pleasant, like most of NSW,” Mr Dutschke said.
“Come Friday that will change,” he added.
Mr Dutschke said we shouldn’t get too excited about the prospect of heavy snow, with that extremely unlikely.
“The chances of receiving heavy snow are a lot less than they were a week or so again when it was very heavy,” he said.
“This system will be a bit drier with a lot less moisture but it should still bring some snow.
“The timing of it looks like being late on Friday before the drier air will come. By midnight Friday if you haven’t received snow there won’t be any left to fall.”
As usual, Mr Dutschke predicted places like Mount Canobolas and Oberon to receive the highest amounts of snowfall in the region.
After possible snow on Friday and a top temperature of 8 degrees, we can expect a frosty start to Saturday and Sunday before a maximum temperature of 10 degrees on both days.
