A MAN is due to appear in court on Thursday after a teenager allegedly took a replica handgun to a school in Cowra earlier this week.

Police were at a high school in Cowra on Wednesday on an unrelated matter when they were told about the incident, which allegedly occurred on Tuesday.
After information was provided to police, a search warrant was executed on a property at Boorowa on Wednesday night.
Police will allege a replica handgun was found during the search of the property, as well as three rifles and ammunition.
All were seized for further examination.
A 49-year-old man was arrested nearby and was taken to Cowra Police Station where he was charged with three counts of possessing an unregistered firearm, possessing a prohibited firearm, possessing ammunition without holding a licence and a breach of bail.
The man was refused bail to appear in Orange Local Court on Thursday.
Inquiries are continuing in relation to the teenager’s action.
