The students batted first at KWS Main Oval and compiled a first innings total of 204, Stu Crisp’s knock of 60 the anchor.

Taking wickets at a metronomic-like rate, Kinross bowled out Wanderers for 48 in the 30th over of their first innings, with Peter Crisp (3-5), John Atkins (3-14) and Stu Crisp (2-5) sharing the spoils.
Kinross then built for maximum points with the bat, declaring at 6-56 with a lead of 212, but Wanderers all-rounder Daryl Kennewell managed a composed 63 not out to help his side narrowly avoid an outright loss, finishing the day’s play at 9-163.
A fine all-round performance from Orange City’s Dave Boundy helped the Warriors chalk up an impressive eight-run win over Gladstone.
Batting first, Boundy hit 101 to help Orange City to the all-out total of 210.
The quick-come-spinner then backed up his efforts with the bat to take 5-53 off 11 overs with the ball, becoming the Warriors’ major wicket-taker to help restrict Gladstone to 7-202 in reply, despite Tim Lowe’s knock of 101.
Gladstone’s Ben McAlpine was also impressive with the ball, nabbing 6-82 for his team.
In the ODCA’s third grade premiership, Orange City maintained its stance on top of the competition ladder with a resounding six-wicket win over Centrals.
A century from young-gun Tom Belmonte lifted CYMS to a four-wicket win over Waratahs.
Belmonte belted 124 before retiring hurt, a timely innings to counter a first-up ton by Waratahs pick-up Manu Mohan in Tahs’ innings total of 7-220 at Sturgeon Oval.
In the Centenary Cup, CYMS Fahys defeated KWS Young Guns by four wickets and Orange City defeated CYMS Kellys by four wickets.
