The first is toilets. It is a 20 minute walk to the toilets on the northern side of the park from the water’s edge and not much better on the other side, nearly a drive for older people. During the Christmas break could temporary toilets be installed?
Saturday, January 5, was a scorcher as had been predicted all week, and a very large crowd made the most of the cool waters of the lake till it cooled off a little then started to barbecue their tea. At 8 o’clock when it was just cooling down along came the caretaker telling everyone that they had to vacate the park by 8.30pm.
Now this may be OK normally but on days with very high temperatures that had been predicted why not alter the closing time to suit the day and the number of people in the park?
