The airline needs passenger numbers for the Orange to Sydney route to increase by 20,000 over the next year; despite this number there was much optimism from all who attended the official announcement.
Brindabella Commercial manager James Blake said the airline would target Sydney business people who want to travel to the region on day trips however he said he had seen a great deal of interest from tourists, particularly from the Chinese community.
