ENGLISH import Claire Gavin is in danger of having her passport stolen and hidden by her CYMS teammates following another three-goal performance in Saturday's Western Premier League round.
Gavin, a GAP student from the UK residing at Kinross Wolaroi school, was again her side's major attacking weapon in its 4-4 draw with Bathurst club Waratahs at Sid Smith field.
While scoreless in the first two rounds, Gavin netted a hat-trick last round against Lithgow and proved it was no fluke on Saturday.
Unfortunately for CYMS she is scheduled to head back home midseason forcing the side to explore its options for a striker.
CYMS other goal was scored by centre half Muriel Holmes by Waratahs attacking duo, Paula Hayley and Kellie James, both netted doubles.
Defender Carrie Gentles, midfielder Gillett and Gavin were CYMS best while Kate Grives and Donna Morris played well for the visiting side.
A fearless performance by Orange City captain and fullback Rachel Hutchinson helped her side secure a narrow 3-2 win over the rising stars of the Country Energy Western Premier League, Kelso.
Despite coming off second best in a couple of physical clashes with the Kelso forwards, Hutchinson repaid the faith shown by coach Geoff Corby in her ability to handle a defensive role with a compete performance at the back.
While it could be argued City had the majority of the play in Saturday's match at Sid Smith field, Kelso goalkeeper Kristy Feltham kept her side on level footing on the scoreboard for much of the match with her own spirited effort.
She repelled all but three of City's attempts, NSW Country forward Natalie Barnes beating her twice while Richelle Dwyer scored City's other goal.
"We were flat today,” Corby said describing his side's performance. "And their goal keeper had a blinder. Our first half was ordinary but in the second we played pretty well.
Along with Hutchinson, Philpott looked dangerous and appears to now be settling into a new club while right half Sam Carr also tried hard.
Kelso, who had goals scored by Kylie Fitzpatrick and Michelle Christie, were also well-served by Alicia Lippiatt.
Over at Bathurst, Ex-Services goalkeeper Karen Fieldus got a fair workout in her side's 6-1 loss to home side St Pats.
Fieldus was defiant as the last line of her side's defence but was frequently left outnumbered and vulnerable by her teammates.
Fullback Cathryn Pankhurst lent support while Danielle Hart was rewarded for a strong game in the midfield with her side's only goal.
For St Pats, Amy Glenn and Kirsty Conroy scored doubles.
In other results, Dubbo beat Lithgow 2-1 at Dubbo, while Parkes remain winless after suffering a 3-0 loss to Souths at Parkes.
Confederates had the bye.
