Scott James Dargin, 27, of Lethbridge Park near Blacktown was fined $300 in Orange Local Court on Monday for possessing a prohibited drug.
According to police, Dargin’s black Holden Colorado was pulled over for a random breath test at about 10.45pm on January 17 as part of Operation Pedro.
Dargin’s breath test was negative but he admitted he had cannabis, which the police dog discovered in a backpack in the tray of the utility.
He told police did not not normally carry that much, except he was on holidays for a number of weeks to attend a funeral.
