According to weatherzone.com.au, Tuesday will reach a scorching 34 degrees in the city, with Saturday (30), Sunday (31), Monday (33) and Wednesday (31) also forecast to be hot.
With next to no rain predicted on the seven-day forecast, NSW RFS Superintendent Greg Sim has urged those staying in the city and those heading away on holidays to stay up-to-date and keep safe this bush fire season.
With the onset of warmer weather and fire dangers set to rise, he said it was essential that everyone knew where to get important information and advice.
“We’re facing a very real risk of bush fires in the months ahead, so it’s crucial that people remain vigilant, both where they live or where they may be visiting,” Superintendent Sim said.
People travelling this holiday period must know the fire danger ratings for the area they are visiting, he said, adding that “making a bushfire survival plan and discussing it with family is the first thing everyone should do”.
