He has been in custody since October 17 having been refused bail for a number of matters so his control order was back-dated meaning he could be released on parole on April 16 next year.
He was sentenced for attempting to break into a house in Calang Street on August 25.
The teenager cannot be named because of his age and appeared in Orange Children’s Court on Monday via video link.
He faced 11 charges relating to various offences including destroying property, resisting police and failing to comply with bail conditions.
For the other 10 charges he was given 12-month good behaviour bonds or probation orders.
Magistrate David Day said the boy can’t feed his heroin habit while in custody.
“The community will not tolerate persons of any age breaking into their houses or attempting to do so,” he said.
