Annabelle Guthrie has gained some breathing room in the quest to become Queen of Sport in the Eight Day Games, after a strong performance on day three gave her an edge heading into a day of golf at Wentworth Golf Club.

She’s expanded her lead five points after a strong showing on Monday at the football skills mystery event and the 3.7km run.
Guthrie finished first in the football skills section and second in the run.
She is on 271 points, while Nicole Williamson and Cathy Johnson sit tied in second on 266 points.
In the Kings section, Jackson Leckie was first before play kicked off on Monday afternoon, sitting on 285 points, while Henry Savage was second with 275 and Joe Melino third with 268.
Like Guthrie, Leckie took out first place in football skills and second in the run.
Monday saw a round of golf before a team event took place after 6pm.
Wednesday will see competitors take part in Lawn Bowls and Orienteering before a mystery event.
The results of Monday’s event will be published on Wednesday morning.
