Prospective students and their families will be welcomed with a morning tea at 10am on Friday and introduced to staff and student ambassadors.
Academic staff from all courses offered at Orange will be on hand to answer questions while the student ambassadors, who are currently enrolled at CSU, will provide the essential student perspective.
Following morning tea, activities and information sessions will be on offer aimed at smoothing the transition into university life.
A general information session will include expert advice about how to accept a university offer, deciding on the best accommodation option and completing an application, and finding out what scholarships and financial support are available for students.
Students with a desire to travel can explore opportunities for international study as part of a CSU degree program while those wanting to get ahead in their academic preparation can find out how to access learning and study skills support such as CSU’s Study Link program.
Students and their parents can take a tour of campus facilities, including the student accommodation and learning commons, a 24-hour communal and student-focused learning space incorporating the library and IT access.
Residence Life staff will be available to address questions and assist with accommodation applications.
The event offers a great opportunity for students to get ahead with preparation for university.
