Duntryleague will be teeming with golfers this week, when the club’s annual Ladies’ Open – one of the most highly-anticipated events on the calendar – kicks off.

Around 250 of the state, and nation’s best will land at Duntryleague – which is in pristine condition – to contest the event, across four divisions.
As usual, divisions three and four will tackle 18-hole scratch, handicap and stableford events on Monday and Tuesday before divisions one and two do the same on Wednesday and Thursday.
The champions will be determined by their combined, 36-hole scores.
There is also grandmothers and veterans events in all four divisions, before the week finishes with a friendly foursomes event on Friday.
Reigning champion Deborah Nunn, from Wakehurst, is returning to defend her division one title this year, with the likes of former winner Susan Fenwick to provide stiff competition on her home course.
