Easily one of the best hookers in the competition, Hall was coming off a Woodbridge Cup premiership with Trundle just six days earlier.
Hall’s brother Adam captain-coached the Boomers in 2017 and Jarrod said winning two premierships in less than a week was something pretty special.
“This just tops it off,” he said.
“We’ve battled last year here and to lose by a couple of points in the last few games … but to beat them by eight is even better.
“We knew coming here today we’d have real good crack at them.
“Whatever’s been said in the paper, we had to come and put our words into action. We did that today.”
Hall knows a win like this means the world to the community of Forbes, which is in a purple patch of premiership success of late after the Magpies won the Group 11 title in 2016.
But he said this title will be one savoured by this Platypi group as it prepares to bid farewell to one of rugby’s favourite sons.
“To the club and the town ... it’s more (coach) Haemani (Lavaka), he’s done the job the last couple of years and won’t be here next year. To send him out a winner, words can’t describe it,” Hall said.
