An English teacher who has worked at Canobolas Rural Technology High School for the past 37 years has been presented with a Secretary's Award for excellent service.

Maxine Jackson was presented with the award by Department of Education secretary Mark Scott at a ceremony in Sydney on Wednesday.
She was nominated by current and former colleagues for her dedication to students and the school.
“I was really so touched,” Mrs Jackson said.
“I just feel that I do my job, there’s so many inspirational teachers at this school.”
Mullion Creek Public School teacher Sharon Cloete also received a Minister's Award for Excellence in Teaching for bringing robotics into the school.
Euchareena Public School also won an award for its participation in the One Schools Network, a collaboration between schools that consist of one K-6 multi-stage classes in isolated areas.
