The decision leads into this weekend’s 16th, and third last, round of the regular of the season, one which is set to have a big impact on the final standings.
In the match of the round at Jack Huxley Oval the competition-leading Manildra Rhinos face the second-placed Trundle Boomers.
With just one point separating the pair, the victor will boast first place come full-time.
The Rhinos have bragging rights after trumping the Boomers 28-22 in a hard-fought game at Trundle earlier this season. The Boomers have bounced along since then though, always staying in touch.
Both sides boast massive packs, which is sure to give the expectedly big crowd a show up front. This one kicks off at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
Also on Saturday, Canowindra hosts Peak Hill under lights.
The Tigers are out of finals contention and as such will provide nuisance value over the last three rounds, especially to a top five side like the Roosters.
Peak Hill will be gunning for a big victory here, a win is necessary for the Roosters to hang onto fourth.
The Rams face Eugowra on Sunday, a victory for either side will keep their slim post-season hopes alive.
Grenfell will also look to maintain fifth spot against the cellar-dwelling Burrangong Bears, while Cargo has the bye.
Manildra plays Trundle in youth league, and Eugowra also faces off against Condobolin.
As usual, there’s a full round of league tag.
