Eighty-two performers, musicians and stage crew from Kinross Wolaroi School will tell a tragic love story as the Sharks battle the Jets in the school’s senior musical production of West Side Story.
Kinross Wolaroi School head of performing arts and musical director Heidi Anthony said the musical was selected because of the number of talented male performers who could fill the key roles this year.
“It’s a tragedy, its a love story, but audiences can expect some amazing dancing, some amazing costumes and some tragic moments,” Ms Anthony said.
She said this year’s lead performers will be Henry Carter who will play the role of Tony and Sarah Faulks who will take to the stage as Maria.
Tickets are still available and performances are at 7.30pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, there will be a 10.30am matinee on Friday.
