Leanne Maree Ostini, of Wahratta Way, pleaded guilty to shoplifting in Orange Local Court on Monday.
The police statement said police and loss prevention officers (LPOs) conducted a Stop Steal operation in Coles on June 21.
At about 5.15pm, an LPO saw a woman loading groceries into a blue car parked underground at Orange Central Square and noticed meat in her handbag.
Police pulled Ostini over at the Byng Street exit and she denied shoplifting.
But when police said her car would be searched, she admitted taking meat and a chocolate block.
The search also revealed a stolen bottle of topping.

He returned a low-range reading of 0.068, telling police he had drunk one bottle of full-strength beer at 5pm.

Winemaker Peter James Mortimer has been fined $650 and disqualified from driving for three months after he was caught with low-range PCA.

He requested a medical test, which occurred at Orange Health Service just after 11.30pm, registering 0.053.
