And, this year more than any of the previous two, coach Carmen Dederer believes her open boys’ side is ready.
“We lose one player from last year’s squad. We’re heading into this year’s final eight more prepared than anyone,” she said.
The Canobolas boys, led by successful Western Region guns Matt Gray and Harry Betts, will play three games on Wednesday, with those results determining whether or not the school makes it through to the semi-finals.
“We’re hoping to do better than we have over the last two years,” Dederer added.
