The navy and lime bibs controlled Saturday’s round six fixture from the outset, eventually winning by 10 goals to hand Kinross a sixth straight loss.
Last year’s third-finishers had dropped to fifth after back-to-back losses to Vipers and Hawks Royal, but the 45-35 victory pushes the side back into the top four.
No side wants to be left chasing points in the back end of the year and considering the 2017 season is one game away from its halfway point, shifting back into the top half of the ladder is all the more crucial for Mardi Aplin’s side.
Life’s win was one of four heavily-tipped results from last weekend’s fifth round, with all of the other top four sides also claiming reasonably comfortable victories.
Orange City maintained its unbeaten start to 2017 by downing Life Studio Mid West Eyes by 23 goals, ultimately winning 63-40.
The Lions are two points clear on top, leading from second-placed Vipers.
Vipers accounted for Hawks Central Fitness on Saturday, in emphatic fashion.
The navy and teals’ defensive effort was superb as the two blues could only muster 22 goals, to Vipers’ 51.
In round five’s other fixture, Hawks Royal scored its fifth win of the season.
The two blues, sitting third, took down the plucky Orange City Newey’s Drive-Thru Cleaners side 48-35. This weekend is a general bye for the long weekend.
