Orange City Council’s draft 2017-18 budget has set aside $50,000 to re-tile the old toilet block alongside the main pavilion, among other repairs.
“The roof of the Dalton building is leaking in a few places and needs some repairs,” councillor Ron Gander said.
“The fence of the main arena is also listed for some work.”
Cr Gander said the council consulted with the Showground Community Committee on the draft budget, which includes the user groups who stage events at the showground during the year.
“On a site like this with a number of older buildings there’s always a long list for potential projects,” he said.
“I was pleased to see the committee’s top three priorities on the list for work.”
The draft budget is on public exhibition.
