Veteran golfers from all over NSW, as well as interstate, will converge on Orange for the 20th edition of the City of Orange Veterans Golf Classic next month.

Beginning on March 13, Orange’s three courses will host the tournament, which is one of the most popular veterans golf competitions in the state.
Later in the week – on Thursday, March 16 – the awards presentation and dinner dance will be hosted at the Orange Ex-Services Club.
Golfers from more than 70 clubs from as far afield as Hervey Bay in Queensland and Narooma on the NSW south coast will participate in the Classic.
Clubs supplying the highest number of players include Shelley Beach, Kiama, Wentworth, Duntryleague and Everglades, although entries are still being accepted.
Cameron Fraser from Shoalhaven, last year’s winner, won’t be here to defend his title, leaving the door open for last year’s runner-up in Wentworth’s Steve Bray.
Bayview’s Gillian Wood won the women’s prize last year and will be back to defend her title, the lowest marking ladies are Hawks Nest’s Carolyn Affleck (eight) and Gail Pottinger (10) from Kiama.
Registration will be on Sunday, March 12 at Wentworth, from 2pm-5pm with snacks, wine tasting a mementos to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
The men will play at Duntryleague, Ex-Services Country Club and Wentworth on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, March 13, 14 and 16 respectively.
The women will play at Ex-Services Country Club on day one, then Wentworth and Duntryleague on days two and three respectively.
On Friday, March 17 an 18-hole 4BBB medley stableford will round out the competition.
