It was a hot and steamy day on Jack Brabham Park’s diamonds on Saturday but most games forged ahead nonetheless.

It was some of the girls from the Kandooz All Abilities Softball Club that braved the heat, taking to the diamond with gusto and leaving the boys in their wake.

Even with only six of the 25 registered players taking the diamond it was a great, fun morning in the blistering Orange heat.

The Kandooz were lucky to receive a grant through the Fundability program recently and have purchased two brand new marquees which have been on display for the last two weekends.

To check out the Kandooz and their marquees in action had to Jack Brabham, although games are on Sunday this week due to the Gnoo Blas Classic Car Show.

In the senior grades, Titans drew 4-4 with Just Us while Bletchington forfeited to the Eagles.

In the two exciting under-15 fixtures, the Crushers defeated the Cardinals 4-1 while the Underdogs edged out the Diamonds 6-5 in an absolute thriller.
