Luke Ezzy, 32, of Bundara Crescent was with a woman when he stole the items from a store in Fairfield and from a store in Merrylands.
About 4.30pm on Monday, October 10, 2016, Ezzy and a woman visited a store within the Stockland mall at Merrylands where they were seen walking through the aisles and putting several items in the female co-accused’s hand bag.
They were searched outside the store after passing through the self-service check out and were found in possession of men’s underwear valued at $4, fishing tackle valued at $279, a $15 dress and a $15 handbag.
While police were interviewing them they admitted to shoplifting girl’s underwear, a sports ball, a $2 toy car and two pairs of thongs from another store.
