The Clifton Grove, Ophir and Orange brigades responded to a car and grass fire at 771 Lower Lewis Ponds Road, Lewis Ponds, at about 4.30pm.
The grass fire was contained with the brigades working to extinguish the fire.
Earlier, Wyangala and Milburn Creek brigades responded to fires at Frogmore Road at Reids Flat and Mount McDonald Road at Darbys Falls.
Ground crews contained the Darbys Falls grass fire, but the fire progressed.
The Waugoola brigade opened the airbase at Cowra Airport to help with loading bombers.
