More than 320 children rode their bikes around Elephant Park and Gosling Creek with the direction of teachers and parents.
Orange Public School principal Brad Tom said the aim of the day was to increase student involvement in physical activities.
“The idea is to give kids exposure to Orange’s spectacular bike paths,” Mr Tom said.
“It was great to see the support of parents on the day.”
Assistant principal Jacqui Taylor said she hasn’t had a better day teaching.
“Some haven’t been for a ride on these bike paths before,” Ms Taylor said.
“To have this many children to ride with at once, it was a great experience for them.”
