Watson has been ruled out of action thanks to a calf injury, while Russell is still waiting a verdict on a possible two year suspension from cricket after missing random drug tests during the T20 World Cup.
And while Morgan is a late arrival from England, Green is confident all three drawcards will be in Orange for the BBL warm-up clashes with Hong Kong at Wade Park on Sunday.
“Unless something goes wrong at Sydney Airport, they’ll be there,” Green said.
The 23-year-old has been to the colour city before and, like many visitors, there’s one thing the Knox Grammar product recalls pretty quickly.
“It was cold that day. So cold,” Green remembers of his schoolboy game against a Chris Tremain-led Kinross in September 2009.
I see the trip to Orange as a great opportunity to play some tough cricket.

Seven years later, the mercury will be far friendlier to Green and his Sydney Thunder teammates when they take on Hong Kong in their first warm-up match as a full squad since claiming last year’s Big Bash League title.
Green says he’s looking forward to the squad regrouping in Orange, with some members of the Thunder outfit playing last week in New Zealand as a tune-up ahead of Sunday.
“I think everyone is keen to get some good, competition cricket under our belts before the Sixers game on the (December) 20th,” he added.
He believes Hong Kong, currently ranked 14 in the world in T20 standings, won’t be easy beats.
“I’d love to take a few wickets and come out and hit a few sixes at the end with the bat,” he said.
