Just Us softball team took to the diamond to play Bletchington Benchwarmers on Saturday, with Monique Faul making a welcome – and successful, four strike-outs – return to the pitcher’s plate.

Nathan Byrne playing at shortstop, Brendan Parish at third and Linda Cousins at second fielded cleanly and threw strongly to Jim Gutterson at first.
Andrew Parish, Dave Faul, Andrew Pollard and Tom Hodgson in the outfield were steady and safe.
Justin Parish started the game at catcher and played well until an injury.
All Just Us players put bat to ball with big outfield hits to Dave, Tom, Andrew, Jim and Nathan. they were assisted in scoring runs with safe base hits from Linda, Monique, Brendan and Justin.
Laura Smith at second for Benchwarmers made a double play after taking a bullet line drive and Lewie Moes hit a massive centre field hit to get a home run.
The young pitching catching combination of Eva Reith-Snare and Mitch King were strong for the Benchwarmers, but Just Us still won 13-3.
Orange District Softball Association also held a Hawaiian Theme for the Kandooz Disability Players, even the parents and carers got involved in a great day.
